Privacy policy

This policy explains how WasteLogic ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use this website or get in touch with us. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

When you submit our enquiry or quote form, we collect the details you provide: your name, company, email address, phone number, site address, site type, the waste streams you're interested in, and anything you write in the message. If you email or call us, we collect the information you choose to share. We also collect limited, anonymised technical and usage data through analytics (see "Cookies and analytics" below).

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote, to provide and manage our waste and recycling services, to stay in touch with you about your enquiry or service, and to improve this website. We do not sell your personal information, and we won't use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use trusted third-party providers to run our business, and share your information with them only so they can perform services for us:

• HubSpot — our enquiry form sends your details to HubSpot, the customer relationship management (CRM) system we use to store and manage enquiries on our behalf.
• Google Analytics — collects anonymised, aggregated data about how the site is used, and only runs after you accept analytics cookies.

We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

Storage outside New Zealand

Some providers store information outside New Zealand. HubSpot hosts our CRM data in its Australia data centre, and Google Analytics may process data in other countries. By submitting your details you consent to this overseas storage. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with comparable protections.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use it. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them on our cookie banner — until then, no analytics cookies are stored. You can withdraw consent any time by declining the banner, clearing cookies, or using your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We don't use analytics to identify you personally.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website is served over HTTPS encryption, and enquiry data is held in HubSpot's secured systems. We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@wastelogic.nz and we'll respond as soon as we reasonably can.
